Megamassoooooo

Formed in 2006, with the ex-guitarist of Ayabie, the ex-bassist of Dari, and the other members being new to the music scene, Megamasso is part of NXSIE RECORDS. Their first minialbum, Namida neko, was released on 6 December 2006. Shortly after their first release, they had a meeting at Like an Edison in Tokyo [Like an Edison is a famous Japanese music store]. On 16 December, Megamasso's first concert ever, ~DAYLIGHT&LIMELIGHT~ was held at SHIBUYA O-EAST. Since their first concert, they've gone on others, alongside Visual Kei bands like UnsraW and Shinkou Shuukyou Gakudan NoGod. Megamasso has also already been featured in a handful of magazines - to name a few: CURE, h'evn.

Megamasso's second minialbum, Kai no me touno zokuryo was released on the 24th of January 2007. It comes with a DVD that has on it their PV, "Dorimu to shikureto rumu".

In February, Megamasso were off on to 2 more concerts. Later in February, on 21st, their 1st Live DVD, Mega-star Tokyo, was released. With the DVD, it included a CD with 2 new songs.

On 21st March, Megamasso's first full-album, Yuki shitatari hoshi was released. The CD came out in two different versions: A regular edition of the album, then a limited edition that included a DVD of their PV, "Toroone enzeru". On 24th March, during their MegamassoLIVE-TOUR2007~Shingetsu no mizutamari~, the band distributed their concert-only single, Viper.

In June, Megamasso released their first maxi-single, Hoshi furi machi nite on the 6th. It has four songs on it. And on the 9th, Yuuta left Megamasso, because of musical differences.

On 18th July, Megamasso's second live DVD, lunch box M4 was released. The DVD includes 5 PVs, the live at Zepp Tokyo, off-the-show + the making of the image, and promotional goods.

Sometime over the summer, support guitarist, Leo, left Megamasso to pursue his new band. He is now the guitarist for duo Visual Kei band, Watashime Slugs. (Ryouhei was the producer for Watashime Slugs' first minialbum.)

Megamasso's second maxi-single, LIPS, was released on the 15th of August. There is two different versions of the maxi-single: One with 3 songs and the LIPS PV, the other with the 3 songs including a bonus track. (This is the second maxi-single of three planned maxi-singles to be released within three months.)

The third single, Suito sukin raiku a kyandi (Sweet skin like a candy) was distributed on the 20th at Shibuya AX during their Mega-star's night event concert.

In October, Megamasso released their second full-length album, Matataku yoru, on the 17th. There are two version of the new album: Limited edition which has only 11 songs, but comes with original calendar, sticker(s), and slipcase. The regular edition comes with an extra song (music and lyrics written by INZARGI) for a total of 12 tracks.

In November and December, Megamasso had their Megamasso 2007 "Winter" Tour "Fuyu kakeru ganka" to promote the release of Matataku yoru. On the 21st of November, toward the beginning of the tour, Megamasso distributed their new limited DVD, "Fuyu kakeru ganka" in tour hall meetings. There was only 3,000 copies and each DVD includes their latest PV, "Modern amplifier" and an extra goodie.

In January 2008, the band attended two concerts later in the month.

In February, Megamasso released their first single, Kiss me chu chu, under the name of Megamachu. The single came out on the 20th.

In March, the band will begin a new tour titled Megamasso 2008 Spring Tour starting on the 21st. On the 5th their third live DVD, Shibuya Under Snow ~Fuyu kakeru ganka~ was released. Their first best of album, titled mega-star's prayer presents Megamasso ninki ongenshuu was released on the 19th. The songs on the best of album were voted for by the fans of Megamasso's fanclub.

In April, the Megamasso 2008 Spring Tour ended on the 4th. They had another concert on the 20th.

In May and June, the band will participate in the Like an Edison Nasaka 5th Anniversary Memory SPECIAL LIVE tour, which includes other popular Visual Kei artists such as Vidoll, girugämesh, and GaGaalinG. Also, in May Megamasso released their first online single, Mizuki missou on the 22nd. This is their first, because it's only sold online on iTunes and certain sub-sites such as DoCoMo, au, and Y!keitai.

Megamasso will kick off in August with two tours. Their summer tour, Megamasso 2008 Summer Tour "STARZ m6" starts on the 5th and is planned to end on the 29th. They will also perform in ZEAL LINK's tour, "More Burning Circus", which includes such Visual Kei artists like Mix Speaker's, Inc. and lynch
