Ayabie is an indies Visual-Kei band currently signed under the SPEEDDISK label. The band's name can be written in different ways, アヤビエ, 彩冷える (the 'ru' isn't pronounced), 彩冷える-ayabie-, or romanized as Ayabie. Ayabie's style consists of a wide variety of sounds and moods, ranging from catchy and upbeat to heavy and hard-edged punk songs.
Ayabie was formed in the early spring of 2004 by ex-Hinawana members Ryouhei, Takehito, and Intetsu with Aoi (ex-MASK, ex-Cynical Biscuit). The group started with only support drummers, until Kenzo joined in 2005. In the summer of 2006, Ryouhei left the band permanently due to his disagreement of the band's future. The newest member to the band is Yumehito (ex-Soroban), a support guitarist who filled in after Ryouhei's leave. After Ryouhei's departure, he started his own new band, Megamasso.
On May 8th, 2004, Ayabie held their first free live at the Takadanobaba AREA. Their first single, Romancer/Hentai Saishuu Page, was distributed at this live. Following this release was their next single, Heien no Ato, Ame.
Ayabie's next release MELT AWAY is being released by SPEEDDISK and distributed by GENEON ENTERTAINMENT INC. (ジェネオン エンタテインメント株式会社) easing their way into a Major label.
